Common Mindbody questions

Does Upbeat work with the free Mindbody plan?

Yes. We use the Mindbody Public API, which is available on every Mindbody plan that supports lead inquiries. No Mindbody upgrade needed.

What Mindbody events trigger a message?

By default: new lead inquiries and new booking creates. We don't text on every Mindbody event — only the ones where reaching out makes sense.

Can I review messages before they send to my Mindbody clients?

Yes. Approval Mode (toggle in Settings) queues every draft for your review with a configurable timeout. Off by default for fastest response.

What happens when a Mindbody client replies to a text?

Automation pauses immediately on that lead. You take over the thread — Upbeat won't text them again until you do.

Will this duplicate messaging if I already use Mindbody Communications?

No. Upbeat sends from your texting account (Quo / OpenPhone), not from Mindbody. The two are independent. Most schools turn off Mindbody auto-emails once Upbeat is wired up.
